From the WaPo story: "Moreover, Wasserman Schultz, Benardo, and Renteria said they have never been interviewed by the FBI about the matter."
One wonders why not? The article is full of assertions and counter assertions as to whether the FBI trusted the document - some apparently did, and some didn't. If there was significant doubt about the document, why did Comey not withhold judgment, instead using it as a justification for his going public with the status of the email investigation?
If nothing else, this whole affair raises questions about both the competence and the impartiality of the FBI. WHY WERE THESE PEOPLE NOT INTERVIEWED???!!! They've been interviewing everyone in the Trump campaign, yet here we have possible legal and ethical violations in the DOJ and DNC, and they AREN'T interviewed!

I understand the FBI wanted to investigate the alleged Russian hack and related matters but DNC refused.

Maybe McCabe has a copy of the email for ‘insurance’. Hell, Sessions may have it in Comey’s comms they’re curating.

For the same reason the FBI did not investigate the DNC email systems, the same reason Clinton was not sworn in, the same reason no record was made of Clinton’s meeting: they didn’t need to.
There is no investigation. It is PR.
