I looked it up and before the communists took over, Slovenia was heavily Catholic.
I’m sure the symbolism resonates with her and she probably gad mother or grandparents who had been Catholic.
The communists of course literally tried to stomp it all out.
Oh, yeah. No doubt she is culturally Christian. Slovenes, etc, probably took that commie stuff the least serious of all the Euros. But the claims that she’s some kind of pious Catholic seem absurd and completely devoid of evidence.
