Former CIA Director John Brennan told the House Intelligence Committee Tuesday that Russia "brazenly interfered in the 2016 election process," despite U.S. efforts to warn them off. Brennan testified in an open session of the committee, one of a handful of congressional committee now investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Brennan said he told his Russian counterpart, the head of Russia's FSB, last August that if Russia pursued its efforts to interfere, "it would destroy any near-term prospect for improvement in relations" between the two countries. He said Russia denied any attempts to interfere.
In his opening statement, Brennan also recounted how he had briefed congressional leaders in August of last year, including House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and the chairs and ranking members of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees about the "full details" of what he knew of Russia's interference in the 2016 election. Brennan said he became convinced last summer that Russia was trying to interfere in the campaign, saying "they were very aggressive."
Brennan said he is "aware of information and intelligence that revealed contacts and interactions between Russian officials and U.S. persons involved in the Trump campaign." Brennan said that concerned him, "because of known Russian efforts to suborn such individuals," and that it raised questions about whether or not the Russians "were able to gain the cooperation of those individuals." Brennan added he didn't know if "collusion existed" between the Russians and those he identified as involved in the Trump campaign.

Brennan may be done but is never going to be charged. He can fade away with his $Billions now. At some point somebody has to go after these people. Sessions could actually stop the losing streak but he doesn’t have the balls. Trump does but can’t order anything. Catch 22?

I totally agree. His testimony was false warnings of a counterfeit prophet. “Oh it’s bad, real bad, and Trump is in on it, but I can’t say anymore because it’s not appropriate.” Garbage.

Brennan illegally spied on the Senate, and he is a criminal for that. They should have brought that up to put him back on his heels.

I wish someone could tell me “How did Russia” meddle in the election, does any one know? The only way I can imagine is that Russia may have attempted to “Spill the beans” on Hillary for any one to know and become informed as to how bigger crook she actually was, colleting money in advance for selling favors later on should she have become president. Fortunately for the general public, at least for the ones who realized what was going down, her scheme failed miserably. She always had a crooked streak going all the way back and over the years it certainly has not gotten any better. But there is an old adage which states “What goes around comes around” it seldom fails.
Brennan does not inspire my confidence in the truth being told. Like many from the Obama Administration, two words come to mind when I think of John Brennan; Ominous and Opaque.
You don’t know what he’s not saying, you don’t know what he truly believes, and it’s a disturbing feeling.

The Russians/Soviets have been “interfering” with US elections through the dissemination of information and disinformation for at least 70 years.
That they did so, or attempted to do so, in 2016 is HARDLY scandal.
Short of information warfare (legitimate, even by US standards...hell, we INVENTED and PERFECTED it), there is absolutely nothing to this story.

You right. And I may say that same back. Hillary told truth when said that she as secretary of State interfered in 2012 Russian election against Putin. So Putin revenged back to her in 2016 but successfully.
