To add to confusion, cellphones in the area reportedly weren’t working (overloaded system? precaution against remote detonation or further coordination?), ambulances arrived quickly to take injured persons away, and there were people offering to shelter people (or assist in giving them rides home). I saw a hashtag for the latter on the Manchester police newsfeed on facebook.
Hopefully the parents are safely reunited with their kids.
This was a command detonation. I believe the bombers used a jammer to stop cellphone traffic. The conspiracy guys are going to have a field day with this one.
