Key lines:

This is not a battle between different faiths, different sects, or different civilizations.

This is a battle between barbaric criminals who seek to obliterate human life, and decent people of all religions who seek to protect it.

Which is exactly Obama and the Dems position.

It’s nothing to do with Islam and is a criminal issue.

The President could single-handedly end Christian genocide in the Middle East and you’d complain about it.

Give the man a chance at least. Jeez, I never see you around except to whine.

Oh, and it’s not the same.

Obama and Bush were all: Islam is awesome.

Trump’s position seems to be: Islam needs to be reformed. But America’s not going to do it. It’s up to you. We’ll partner with you if you need help, but don’t expect us to do your work for you.

Along with encouragement to reform.

I personally think he’s being a bit too optimistic, but he knows more than I do about this matter. So I’m inclined to give him a chance and see what shakes out.

Can you cite when the Dems gave a speech to 55 Arab nations to talk about their position? Or is it the usual show over substance, that is, lack of substance. Were the Dems lying or misleading?

It does fail to recognize that Islam itself is the problem, as the violent conquestorial-type Muslims are better followers of their conquestorial founder and history than the peace-loving co-existers. But by absolutely condemning Islamic terrorism and vowing to exterminate it ["I, Trump has essentially insisted conquestorial Islamic religious violence cannot be part of that faith, which thus is a partial denial of Islam.

But the ACLU etc. must cringe at a (conservative) President making a theological statement:

Every time a terrorist murders an innocent person, and falsely invokes the name of God, it should be an insult to every person of faith. Terrorists do not worship God, they worship death.

And this language is far too radical for liberals, who have sympathy for the devil:

A better future is only possible if your nations drive out the terrorists and extremists. Drive. Them. Out. DRIVE THEM OUT of your places of worship. DRIVE THEM OUT of your communities. DRIVE THEM OUT of your holy land, and DRIVE THEM OUT OF THIS EARTH.

Religious leaders must make this absolutely clear: Barbarism will deliver you no glory – piety to evil will bring you no dignity. If you choose the path of terror, your life will be empty, your life will be brief, and YOUR SOUL WILL BE CONDEMNED.

I cannot imagine any recent past president saying that.

But invoking God to bless countries who are at war with Him is different story:

Thank you. God Bless You. God Bless Your Countries. And God Bless the United States of America.

I think Trump’s idea is as ‘refined as Obama and the DNC. Trump has a ‘rougher’ interpretation on dealing with international gangsters.

Obama would have wet himself if he had to give such a hard-hitting anti-terrorism speech.

I was very happy at the contrast of Trump’s speech vs. Obama and Bush’s naive interventionist stances. Trump’s “principled realism” and America first policies are a breath of fresh air. He only wants to do things that are clearly in the American interest, like eliminate ISIS and stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons. The Saudis can help with that. It’s not in our interest to hopelessly declare war on all one and half billion Muslims. He doesn’t want to impose anything on them with another unnecessary war or “sudden intervention”; instead he tried to convince them how it is in their own interests to stop terrorists in their countries.

This sort of America First policy is very different from all the unnecessary and destructive meddling that Bush and Obama favored, so it seems to me like a really solid shift in our foreign policy. Overall, I thought it was a very good, effective speech, and far better than Obama’s apology tour speech (And by the way, in his actual spoken speech he said “Islamic terror” not “Islamist terror groups” like this pre-prepared transcripts says.)

Did Obastard and the national socialists as well as the Bushes take this position?

“That means honestly confronting the crisis of Islamist extremism and the Islamist terror groups it inspires. And it means standing together against the murder of innocent Muslims, the oppression of women, the persecution of Jews, and the slaughter of Christians.”

Did they?

9/11 was a much bigger loss than we would like to admit.

Since when did Obama go into Saudi Arabia and complain about Radical Islamic terrorism?

This is not the same as the Dems and Obama. This was much more an accusation, with a finger pointing at them from inside their living room.
