Divert the water through AZ.

That would be a hostile act of war. Why would we want to do that? I want CA to succeed in seceding. Not fight them. I want them gone. How can I help make #CALEXIT a reality?

Well, they would be another country, correct with their own interests. Why would we give without getting something in return? I am okay with feeding water to CA but for a price.

The silly environmental policies over the years have left CA vulnerable and not self-sufficient — power production, water, etc.

Also, the last time this happened, there was a war. Check your history.

The risk here is that CA might develop alliance's with China or Mexico. Although I doubt that Mexico has much to offer other than impoverished citizens. But this would be a “put your money where your mouth is” moment for CA.

China on the other hand....

And there is the risk that other states might follow.
