Well, I'm just sayin' that if you've got some 60's muscle cars that you need to dispose of, just ship them to me and I'll "take care of them" for you. Just tryin' to do my part. :-)

What kind of Propaganda are you trying to sell me. I know the globalists want to rob us and make us their slaves. They want to kill off 85% of the population and keep us in death camps. There is no way I can walk 20 miles to town to get groceries and walk back. These people are mentally ill.

socialist writer for a NYC state of delusion.

This is about pushing people into cities to make more government dependent.

Autodriving makes out of city swamp living more attractive. It is like having your own private train/driver/etc.

By 2030 I won’t have a car or any thing else because I’ll be pushing up daisies.

The people will have to be turned into limpwristed wimpy wusses for that to happen. We’re well on the way to that, but this prediction will not come true.

Thought experiment: just what do you think will happen when you try to push motorcycle owners off their bikes? they will push back big time.

You don’t think the left wants to “allow” people the freedom of riding on an individual vehicle, do you? The goal is collectivity, everybody the same (except for the ruling elite, which gets to ride in luxury.)

If you think about it and do the financial analysis, owning a car is about the worst financial mistake most of us will ever make.

We spend tens of thousands of dollars on new vehicles that spend perhaps 3-5% of the actual time that we own them on the road taking us somewhere.

That means 95-97% of the time those vehicles are doing what -- sitting around doing nothing.

Consider how much time there is in a day and how much time you actually spend behind the wheel. If you're like most people it's a small amount of time per day. Now multiply that out over days, weeks, months and years and that time gets smaller and smaller.

Logically it makes sense that some system of car sharing is going to come along and displace car ownership because it'll make financial sense for day to day transportation for most people.

Now muscle cars/classic cars are an entirely different matter! :-)

This goes into the category of the Popular Mechanics articles in the 1950’s that talked about flying cars. I’m still waiting.

In 2030 I will likely be either dead or drooling. But should I be alive, I’m certain I’l have no problem getting a drive if I need one.

I’ve had a flying car most of my life, just like Popular Science promised back in the 1960’s. No way I’m trading that in!

I had my '01 Silverado for 220K miles while I was commuting. I'm retired now and at the rate I'm putting miles on my new baby:

it'll last me to my final breath.

Autonomus cars would be filthy, stinking and covered in DNA and grafitti in short order. People rarely take care of something that isn’t theirs.

Reasons NOT to go along with self-driving cars today:
* Mexican gangs already block roads and rob drivers and passengers. Self-driving cars without human control make this even easier, while immigration has brought more people with this criminal method here
* As long as you have liberal mobs blocks traffic and periodically assaulting people (BLM attacking whites, sometimes pulled from vehicles, Middlebury professor blocked and attacked by students), cars you can’t take over and drive around or through the crowd for your own safety are death traps.
* If they are all monitored and the state can say “you’re in trouble, you’re not allowed to go anywhere”, you lose freedom of movement at whims of those in power.

So by 2030 everyone is to depend on someone else to determine whether one may have a ride. That is or quickly becomes dependency on the State for something truly basic to Freedom of work, movement, and location. It becomes dependent on what one puts on Facebook or whatever equivalent there is in 2030. It is dependency on State approval of expressed or perhaps even thought thought.
