Yep. My great-great grandfather never bragged that he had
shot anybody with the pistol; but his job was dangerous.
He was a lightskeeper along the shores of the river. He
fueled and tended those lights to guide the river traffic
past the rocky shoals. A rough bunch roamed those shores &
thought nothing of robbing & murdering for a dollar or two.
I don’t want to kill nobody; but if they force it, it is on
them. Fang likes his crossbow & rifles & shotgun. If a man
feels like he has to trespass on our place wearing a mask;
he better think twice.
My father is 91. WWII vet. Grew up with rifles, hunting. He served in the 3rd and 7th Armies, under Patton and Patch.
He still shoots very well. Still has good instincts.
We talk about the world mess daily. He still “get’s it”.
