Hugo Mejia grabbed the lunch his wife made for him early in the morning May 3 and took off for his job at a new construction project on the Travis Air Force base in Fairfield. But the 37-year-old father of three from San Rafael didn’t return home.
Mejia and a coworker, Rodrigo Nuñez from Hayward — both undocumented immigrants from Jalisco, Mexico who have been in the United States for more than a decade — were detained on the base after a military official discovered they did not have valid social security numbers during a routine identification screening and reported them to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

I thought that perhaps you were a pretty smart guy, perhaps i am wrong. First of all, this is not personal; I do not know you nor you me. Bickering with you is a non-starter. Second of all, just so you know for the future, there are no illegal aliens from Puerto Rico, they are citizens from a US Territory. I should have known better that to wrestle with a pig. I love California. It’s been my home for all of my 76+ years. For you to tell me to “move to Mexico” is about as disgraceful a comment as I’ve read here. As far as “leaving the rest of us alone,” from my private mail on this subject, I doubt that that’s anywhere near the truth. You might try acting like an adult and not some potty-mouthed twit from a state that has about as many problems today as does mine.

So what is the problem?
For whatever reason they where already ordered deported decades ago. ICE is just enforcing the removal order.
Are we to review past deportation orders? Are we to selectively enforce deportation orders? No. If you are caught, and there is an existing removal order on you.. you are gone. No matter if you are a ‘hardened’ criminal or not.
