What I have heard about these dogs is that if they do attack and latch onto someone, even the owners can’t get the to back off. That’s what scares me.
True. The woman I know whose pit bull attacked her wouldn't let go and the husband had to shoot the dog while it had its jaws clamped on her arm. This was a pit bull lovingly raised from a pup, by people who said, it's the owners, not the breed that's bad. They no longer think that way. The woman is lucky it happened when her husband was home.
