Sheriff David Clarke Gets Mentions as Possible FBI Chief Following Comey Dismissal

Comey was a U.S. Attorney, VP Lockheed Martin, and a Deputy Attorney General. Law degree University of Chicago.
Clarke is the Milwaukee County Sheriff. Experienced lawman, but only a bachelor degree in Management of Criminal Justice. I’m sure he has a lot of self-taught knowledge of law. Cloud hanging over his department right now, due to an inmate death, which the coroner ruled was a homicide, death by dehydration. There are claims water was withheld from prisoner for six days. Probably wouldn’t be the best idea for FBI director til that gets cleared up. Lots of dirty politics up there. Police chief hates him.

Right. Clarke has decades of law enforcement experience. Comey was just a political appointee in the justice department.

I happen to think David Clarke is great. But the Senate isn’t going to confirm him, with the investigation going on in his department.

Would be great to see a REAL Sheriff take over law enforcement without apologies...I am 100% behind this move if it happens. The Press will try to kill him but he will stand tall.
