The former director of national intelligence stands by his statement from March.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Russian interference in the 2016 election that there is still no evidence of the Trump campaign colluding with Russian officials, on Monday.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) asked Clapper if his statement that there is no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian officials is still accurate.
Clapper made the remarks in question during an interview with NBCs Chuck Todd in March 2017.
Clapper informed Graham that statement is still accurate.
But they just know it happened anyway.
Heh....gotta get that on paper.
No, what happened today is Graham forced Clapper and Yates to say ‘Rice’ in a secure hearing so he can subpoena her. DJT can de-classify the necessary items so her testimony can be public and under oath. He’ll get to Obama, eventually.
Lindsay can also get Sessions on-board---b/c he can remove any impediment as to testifying about classified material (should Rice try to use the argument).
The interesting thing was Cruz grilling Clapper nearly word-for-word as he did Comey on ‘let’s say one of your employees forwarded thousands of emails to a non-secure, non-top-secret external somebody, wife, etc. How would this employee be handled?’. I think he’s going after McCabe and one of Clapper’s direct reports.
