Experts told Daily Star Online planet Earth is on course for a Little Age Ice within the next three years thanks to a cocktail of climate change and low solar activity. Research shows a natural cooling cycle that occurs every 230 years began in 2014 and will send temperatures plummeting even further by 2019.
Scientists are also expecting a huge reduction in solar activity for 33 years between 2020 and 2053 that will cause thermometers to crash. Both cycles suggest Earth is entering a global cooling cycle that could have devastating consequences for global economy, human life and society as we know it.
If predictions of the world-wide big freeze come true, the plot to 2004 film The Day After Tomorrow would not be far from reality during winter.
During winter, entire major cities such as London, Paris and New York would be subjected to sub-zero temperatures, ice and snow for months.

Where is Algore?
In a climate controlled building or a gas guzzling jet going somewhere.
The video was great.
Global cooling cycle...I WISH! If true I can positively assure everyone that the LAST place on the planet still sweltering in heat and humidity will be SE Louisiana. If not, hell will REALLY have frozen over We had NO winter and here comes 6+months of unrelenting 90’s and 100’s. Don’t tease me with ‘global cooling’! These are the same people who can’t predict tomorrows weather, or a cold front line of storms that end up being hurricane strength(Grand Isle, this past week!) Les imcompetents!
The Thames *used* to ice up during the last major solar minimum, however, it is a very different river today. Back then it was shallower, had low banks, and even swampy areas in some parts. Its waters flowed slowly.
But to improve navigation, it was deepened, with higher banks, and channelized, so that the water ran faster, too fast to form large patches of ice.
There is far more real science, the kind based on actual empirical data and physical evidence, behind a prediction of global cooling than the smoke and mirrors supporting the AGW scam. Once the same clowns who have been pushing the latter can figure our how to blame a cooling climate on western civilization and make money on “solutions”, watch them pivot on a dime and try to throw thirty years of lies and fraud down a memory hole.
During the Ice Age, The Thames and the Rhine were the same river.
1st earth day was in 1970. I was just a kid but remember “The Ice Age is coming!”
Well Yeah,
Al Gore hasn’t generated as much Hot Air as he used to.
Al was keeping global cooling in check.
“Homeostatic System”
You can look it up...
Very true but then again, the individual species aren't always able to keep up. Maybe mankind will be able to cope (if this fantasy ever actually comes to fruition.... and if it does, it will almost certainly not be due to man's activities....), but if we don't, maybe the sharks and crocodiles and cockroaches will evolve into something better in the long run anyway.
Well, not really.
We DO have thousands of years of proxy data: All of them establish that the earth’s climate can be approximated by a long 900-1000 year cycle (going back to the Minoeans Warming Period, Roman Warming Periods, Medieval Warming Period, and today’s Modern Warming Period. (Somebody needs to come up with another MWP abbreviation for the Romans!)
Since 1650, we have been climbing out of the Little Ice Age - when the Thames DID freeze regularly a natural event that will climax either now (2000-2010-2020) or after the next 66 year cycle somewhere around 2080-2090.
On top of that long cycle, there is a very obvious 66 year short cycle: 1890 - 1935-1945 - 2000-2010
With 300 or more years coal reserve, should we be worried?
I’m not fat, I’m just easier to see than most people.
The imminence of a Little Ice Age means that the more successful we are in reducing CO2 in the atmosphere the more severe and deleterious will be the effect on the growing of crops. Algore is a Famine salesman.
LITTLE ICE AGE? I think we have had one every 10 years over the past 40 years....followed by the hottest years in history on the same periods of time, just about 5 years later though.
Funny thing is that I don’t remember these ice ages nor killer heatwaves. I do remember though back in the early 50’s up until the 70’s that we had much colder winters in South Texas than we do now but the summers are just as miserable and hot as they were back then. Come to think of it...the summers back then were even hotter and we did not have air conditioning.......and it did not kill millions of people down here.
NAH; us skinny folks will just kill’em and eat’em.
Paging Al Gore, pick up the white courtesy phone - there is a new scare-scam to "capitalize" on.
Temperature 31 this morning here in S.E. Michigan and frost warnings for tonight.....cover up the new plants.
