He should have been upfront about all innocent contact with Russians.
Flynn of all people should have suspected that there would be records of his Russian contacts.
And he should have suspected that Obama die-hards would break the law to spread the information and damage president Trump.
Not being upfront before his confirmation damaged the president by giving the democrats ammunition to concoct the "Trump is in cahoots with Russia" narrative.
But most of all, he should not have lied to the Vice President and let him go out to make a statement defending Flynn based on false information from Flynn himself.
