I was in Kindergarten that day. The nuns moved other classes into our large double sized room and brought in a tv. I was sitting on the floor around center right of the tv. If a little kindergarten kid can remember details, a grown lying Bush knows darned well remembers.
I was in 4th grade having lunch in the cafeteria and the Nuns walked us over to the church and we said the Rosary. I learned of the assassination when a kid came into the room and said “President Kennedy was “assasined”.
I was in a Catholic school at the time, too. Since Kennedy was the first Catholic President, it was almost as if the Pope had been killed.
