It an indicator of if you are a sucker. Time is precious, propaganda and by hackneyed stories aren’t. It’s called television programming because the term mind control was taken. The boob tube is a better name.
I reckon you’re one of those dudes who’s utility bills should impress me.
Yeah and he thinks it’s late night comedy....
Im with you on this one. Colbert is very funny and has been winning hearts and minds for the left for a decade now. His lampooning of conservatives is a morale boost for liberals. He validates their worldview in a highly visible way and they love him for it. Maybe one of these days well close the arts and culture gap with the left. It is truly puzzling to me this massive asymmetry when it comes to culture.

If you think Colbert is funny, you’re a sorry individual. When I think of all the great comedians of the past, Colbert is not even a blip on the radar.
Do you think SNL is funny now? They suck! But leftists love it because their pathetic asses need it for a morale boost after loosing so badly.
Wanna see conservative comedy? Go onto You Tube and look at the posts that conservatives make on a host of political videos. Or go onto Facebook and look at how badly the Left gets ridiculed on certain issues. Of course, Facebook bans people, YouTube does not. There’s tons of humor there!
It’s virtually impossible to get a “conservative comedian” because all the networks will only support a Leftist. Comedy Central, SNL, or any of the late night talk shows would allow a person critical of Leftism to be a frequent guest?
Sheesh...the delusion is strong here.
Abolish The FCC. Let Libturds be Libturds. The marketplace will take appropriate action.
I would simply, and I have done this, tell the manager, that you are not going to buy from their store until something is done by the company directly to the studio or Colbert personally, perhaps a statement by the Company in the news or on their online presence condemning his behavior, and that continuing behavior will necessitate removal of advertising dollars. Thank them for listening, and leave. They may blow you off, but if your serious, tell your neighbors, post it on Facebook to all your friends, and then stop shopping there.
I’m not American, but this Colbert guy is truly offensive in my opinion.
****Do you think those low wage workers in the local store make marketing decisions? At best, you might make them aware of what the company they work for supports.****
****there’s no need to go off on the lowest level workers.****
Two strawman arguments in a row. Congratulations.
ALL interactions with others in the marketplace, and the marketplace of ideas can be conducted with a positive outcome for conservatives because the message conservatives bring to witness is fundamentally positive. No need to “go off” on anyone.
Where do you conclude that from what was presented here?
I agree completely.
I find that speaking directly, calmly, and reasonably to someone who can do something about your concern, or pass it up the chain, in a friendly manner, is more effective.
My initial reply was to comment #9 from Jimmy The Snake, quoted below. My other replies are based on that.
"...Lets take a play outta their play book. I looked at Google and got a list of sponsors of his show. Walgreens is the one we can all find.
Walk in tell the to stuff it. think Alices Restaurant and they will think it is a movement
Give them some you know what. Dont let them feel comfortable
Also, see post 47 for my reply to someone else about approaching employees in a calm manner.
Correction, see post 87.
