At the time, the Security Service said that an alarm box near the White House’s front entrance intended to alert its agents to intruders had been muted at the request of the usher’s office, which felt it was too noisy and frequently malfunctioning.

LOL. The position is complete BS in the first place. I don’t see Trump putting anyone in this position.

I think you probably hit on a possible reason... I don’t see Trump just firing someone but as anyone knows from watching the Apprentice he wont hesitate if he sees incompetence or someone who does not take responsibility for there actions or unjustly try’s to shift that responsibility. I can see a continuation of turning of the alarm by her office after it had already proven to be a bad security concern (i.e. the guy who jumped the wall 2 weeks ago)being the reason for the firing.
