On the flip side, such executions, at this particular time and under current conditions might very well be the straw that splatted the mental case's brains on the floor even if an initial coup failed. Reality and possible self preservation are catalysts for some strong urges and following the idiot into the gates of Hell may not seem the best route to even the zealots.
