"Experts say there is a one in 700,000 annual chance of a volcanic eruption at the site."
I'm not going to sweat this one. Just wondering how much money, and whose, was spent on this interesting study of dubious use to anybody.
LOT OF THAT stuff, and fortunately, I’m miles from it. At least 30. So I’m just not going to worry.
OMG, what happens when the molten carbon and the melting frozen methane deposits under the ocean meet?????
This is also probably why oil is NOT made of “dead dinosaurs” and why mankind will never run out of oil.
Its also why trying to control mankind’s CO2 output is so stupid - like banning people from farting in a hurricane.
Yeah, it’s 200 miles underground. Not even a giant asteroid could release it. More nutty hysteria from the whacky left.
We will pass the tipping point in one billion years. We must act now!
geologists felt left out of the global-climate-warming-change funding and headlines bonanza, and found a way to cash in.
Is the Earth a big nuclear reactor? Is that the reason there is molten rock at the center even after billions of years?
700,000:1 odds?!? Way better odds than winning the Lotto!

WE ALL GONNA DIE!
Sorry. I was an extra in a disaster movie once and that was my line and I never got over it.
anthropomorphic global warming
Turns it’s not caused by man,
It’s caused by Mother Earth.
is molten carbon a fancy word for oil?
Does this mean carbon fiber prices are going to come down now? /s
Now they are finally getting around to figuring out where our infinite supply of oil is coming from.
Molten Carbon is a great name for a a rock band.
Perhaps, in the name of the environment, we should take over Mexico and make it a giant carbon offset. We could name it after Al Gore.
Nobody has pointed out that it looks like a donkey?
Seriously...so what?
-—where solid carbonates melt-—
So, the molten substance is not carbon but carbon compounds. A very carbon compound found on the surface, that is in fact the surface is calcium carbonate. Calcium carbonate is ordinary limestone.
The article is fake science and basically hogwash with numbers
