So here we are , 16 years later, and we control, once again, both legislative bodies and the presidency. - No one has balls but the President, and he needs the help of others to loft them higher...

During the Bush II primaries here on FR we had the same level of interaction among the groups supporting different factions as we did this past primary season.

The Bush bots were strongly supporting Bush. And as you say Bush II (all the Bushes in my opinion) was and is a RINO from Texas. During the 2014 Primaries many FReepers objected to various "conservative" candidates due to these candidates minor speech flubs. The Trump Bots this time around did not object, they very much reveled in the Trump jabs, especially the one he threw at the Press. And yes I too enjoyed these, still do. Why are we not seeing them anymore?

Now an interesting question for all the people in Alabama. (I used to live in Hunsville)

The people of Alabama have elected a number of corrupt governors in the recent past, the current one has resigned and may go to Jail. But before he resigned he appointed Sessions' replacement. The Alabama Attorney General who dropped charges against this corrupt Governor.

The New Governor, the former Lt. Governor - an elderly lady has called a Special Election for August.

On Thursday, Politico’s Daniel Strauss reported that the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is treating Luther Strange, the temporary replacement for now-Attorney General Jeff Sessions, appointed by the now disgraced former Gov. Robert Bentley, as an incumbent. As such, it will blackball any vendors who do consulting work for his challengers in the upcoming special primary slated for August.

The people of Alabama elected Judge Roy Moore to the Alabama court more than once. So WILL the people of Alabama vote for a corrupt RINO Strange or will they vote for Judge Roy Moore

P.S. How may FReepers voted to re-elect McCain and Graham - what will happen in 2018 ??

Moore is a Bible-thumper. I am not—I’m Catholic, but fairly conservative. Still, Alabama is the MOST religious state in the USA. So Moore has a very good chance.

While I do not agree with Moore on everything, such as blue laws, anti-gambling and demon rum, I intend to vote for him, if just to poke a finger in the eye of liberals in the US Senate. Moore may gather “Moore” hatred there than Jesse Helms did, which would be wonderful to see!

Strange is a hack of Bentley. He won’t win against Moore.

Politico? Politico? Are you serious?

George Bush was the most conservative governor in America when elected President. There were no viable alternatives to him in the second election for good reason.

I do agree that he did not fight the Fake News cartel but don’t delude yourself that there was an alternative.
