Which was all promulgated by a sub-prime lending directive from the Federal Reserve Bank, starring: RATS Ben Bernanke, and taxcheat Timmy Geithner.
(of course, it's Bush's fault)
And re: your stats, they clearly support my point.
Why would ANY self respecting Catholic, regardless of ethnicity vote for a baby-killer?
Those priests need to get with the program.
Just sent the Heritage plea for $$$ back with a note about DeMint...didn’t give them anything
Thank you :)
The majority do not vote democrat.
I can’t speak for the knuckleheads. That’s true for every single religious group, though. All have knuckleheads.
In my world, no one would vote for democrats—or I shouid say what they really are: Communist, Muslim Dhimmihist, Socialist, America Haters.
Not the issue at all.
Since words have meaning and all propaganda uses words, the current NEGATIVE impression of "Bible Thumper" is the Issue. This technique is what the major propaganda organs rely on to eliminate non RINO primary opponents. And it has been working well that past four election cycles.
Let me paint a picture. I am a strong Senator Cruz supporter, I believe he stands for a Constitutionally Limited Fed. G'ment. Trump Does not. He makes "deals" - As in the failed repeal of Obamacare. A bad deal for all. So I just painted a picture of Trump.
There is much schadenfreude here - Trump bashes the Media, the Media bashes back. Everyone has a thin skin - including freepers.
Trump informs us during the primary that Senator Cruz's father may have been involved in the JFK assassination. The question to be asked has Trump lost his mind or is he just a normal New York jerk. Again I paint a picture.
And yes I voted for Trump. But not for John Wayne McCornyn who in his primary and November Elections told us he is just like us. Well John Cornyn is A BIG RINO, he is the No. 2 in the Senate right there alongside the Frog from Kentucky. And why was Mitch re-elected?
He did no such thing. You're exaggerating.
With the way they've been acting lately, they don't deserve much. IMHO, they don't appreciate DeMint nearly enough.
Semantics. I do not have a negative, but rather humorous meaning to Bible-Thumpers. It’s a Southern Catholic Cultural thing.
In 1910, my Church was founded, but the Priest was run out of town on a rail, by the KKK AND the good citizens of the various Baptist churches at the time, whom the few Catholics called Bible Thumpers. The priest kept sneaking back, until WWI brought lots of ethnic Catholics (Irish, Polish and Italians) to my town to work in the mills. They gave up on keeping Catholics out. WWII brought a lot more changes. The Holy Spirit church in Huntsville was founded around then. BTW, my people are Anglo-Saxon dating back in this country to 1631.
Nowadays, most of the people of my parish joke about those times; all is forgiven, but we jokingly still refer to them as Bible-thumpers, but we really see them as more religious allies in the push back against the Atheist/Baby killing/Anti-Christian movement in the liberal parts of this country, which is very real.
But go on, I do not mean to offend. So I’ll not call Roy a Bible-thumper again.
Well....sort of...sometimes, depends on the year. It's not a strong demographic, considering the traditional Catholic pro-life position.
I cant speak for the knuckleheads.
Nor should you have to. The clergy seems to be willing participants in letting the Church fall. (See "Pope" Francis) The faithful need to take back the Church, not abandon it.
You should see all the empty churches and cathedrals up here, many going to different uses. They even tore down a fantastically beautiful Gothic Cathedral, with the arches and spires....
Unreplaceable....gone....devastating.
Now that description of Juan is funny rodguy.
Speaking of going off the rails, what has happened to Lame Cherry? I have stopped reading the blog..way too much hatred.
Pres Trump did call the program “deface the nation”. It was the only funny line in that pathetic interview.
Dickerson is on Twitter-send him a tweet too!
Guess he didn’t manners and etiquette when he attended Sidwell Friends.
Meant to say “Guess he did not learn manners ....”
If these diagrams, polls etc. are from 2012 they are pre-Trump.Will the effects of the Trump adm. on immigration, more, better border control,a wall down the road, change any of this data?
Good question and as we already know anything they edit will be turned left.
All I need to know is they had the POTUS and didn’t devote the whole show to his interview.
Good one Rock,Dickerson needs to learn how to show the proper
respect for “our” President.
This is good news for you.
In my perish we have a Vietnamese Priest - you would think that with his communist experience as a child he would not be a Socialist. But no. He is in love with the local poor / migrant (some legal some not) Mexicans. So much so that the church school is in trouble. White parishioners are not given any breaks on their tuition while Mexican parents get a break. This has lead to major drop-of in church coffers.
Life goes on
You make it sound like it's monolithic. It isn't!
In fact, we just might be starting a modern schism inside the Church that could be as significant as the 95 Theses in the 1500s. Many are asking that Pope Benedict come back, and his leaving wasn't proper.
According to the latest survey, New England has the LEAST amount of Church-going Christians in the country:
Quote: Mississippi, Alabama and other Southern states are among the most highly religious states in the nation, while New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont and Maine in New England are among the least devout, according to some of the key measures used to determine levels of religiosity in the Pew Research Centers most recent Religious Landscape Study.
