great article and all the pix are great. Such a wonderful survival story. And you do look like Grizzly Adams a bit! LOL
Hope you are able to check in on occasion. We all know what a pain cell phone posting is. Just hi now and then!
Thank you Dolly for all your effort in keeping the train running on time and on the damn tracks !
I have been out and away- camping with my brother and his coworkers about 20 miles south of Flagstaff. It’s something that they do once a year during the last weekend of April. For the past 5 years, I’ve been away hiking the PCT in CA, OR, and WA, so this was my rookie year to be with them. It got down to 23 degrees, and was a nice respite from the low 90’s that we’ve been experiencing here in the metro PHX. area. Our campsite was in a National Forest of Ponderosa Pines and Alligator Juniper, with some Cedars and Oaks scattered about, at an elevation of 6,700’.
I plan to work up in the Sierra Mountains again this summer. I’ll see if I can do better this year and make a post now and then, even though bandwidth is at a premium- $50 a day. Yikes. We employees can slip onto the www for a brief look-see now and then, at no cost, when the paying customers are idle.
Be back shortly, I’ve got some chores to do before my brother gets home.
No rest for the weary ! How well you know. ;0)
