Sans injury, there was no scam. If an uninjured Dao had tried to sue the airline, his legal fees would have exceeded any money he *might* have won. He’d have likely lost that lawsuit, however, so ALL he’d have gained is a massive legal bill—which is hardly anything that could be called a ‘scam.’

Nothing you’ve said here, even if it were completely true, constitutes any evidence whatsoever in regard to whether or not Dao was engaging in a scam. And your first sentence is an obvious non sequitur.

You apparently have no idea what a scam is. Are you using the word to mean, ‘Rack up huge legal bills with nothing to show for it,’?

If not, what specifically was the scam?
