I thought that the Veep picks of both candidates was telling. Trump picks a very competent man who could step into the POTUS spot, if necessary, and could run the country. HRC picks a blob, just a nobody. No charisma, no talent; and, IMHO, a little creepy looking. She does this because she wants no competition. She is so deficient in likability that she could not afford to pick someone who would outshine her every time they were on stage together. Not a single thought about the welfare of the country should something happen to her and Tim Kaine takes over. Yikes.

That, too, is a significant point. Though the Dem bench is quite remarkably thin. For a party dedicated to new ideas and progressivism, they sure have a gaggle of old smelly turds piled up.
And then there was Bernie. Lots and lots and lots of younger (stupider, unfamiliar with the realities but enchanted by the utopianisms of socialism) folks never forgave her for that bait and switch routine.
