Its so bad now in Portland, that merely the THREAT of violence is enough. Ted Wheeler (mayor) needs to speak to the situation, regardless of the fact the Rose Festival Association cancelled this on their own. They gave city government a free pass, but this remains a “teachable moment” (as our friends in education would label this).

Here's a better article about the cancellation. Portland police told KGW they were aware of the threats and were prepared to handle any disruptions.

"We were aware of threats to disrupt the Avenue of Roses Parade on Saturday and were prepared to provide a police response appropriate to the needs of the event, which has traditionally been a family-friendly affair," said Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.

The loss of much needed revenue from this week-end Parade and Fair in Portland will be incalculable. Couldn't happen to a nicer liberal city and state.

Maybe the mercantile class in this fascist Left coast of the country will wake up from this fiasco and start voting right instead of Left.

We had a Seafood and Craft Festival last weekend in our town's Main Street park. I drove past on two consecutive days and you couldn't find a place to park. There were thousands of cars going and coming all day and evening. The local merchants, restauranteurs and crafters, etc. had booths, and were they ever cleaning up!
