He is a philosophy instructor (with a master’s degree) teaching at a community college. Calling him “professor” is a bit of a stretch...sort of like calling Obama a professor of constitutional law when he was an adjunct at a university in his home town.

I agree but it does seem to be the custom these days to call these community college teachers “professor.” At least that is the case in my neck of Florida.
