At the Starbucks on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Clarksville, Tenn. -- two miles from the U.S. military base -- store manager Shannon Feltz pours hot coffee for a group of veterans seated at a communal table.
On a shelf next to the register are rows of green-and-white mugs reading: "Proudly serving those who serve."
On Tuesday, the Clarksville store became one of 37 around the country designated by the coffeehouse chain as "Military Family Stores" -- stores staffed primarily by veterans and military spouses as part of a larger effort to employ service members and their families nationwide.
"Seventy-five percent of my business is the military," said 47-year-old Feltz, a 14-year military spouse whose husband is a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army.
"We are so excited about this announcement," Feltz told Fox News.
Of the corporate Seattle-based coffee giant, Feltz said, "I've never felt so supported by a company in my life."
Starbucks on Tuesday unveiled four other new Military Family Stores: Two in Texas, serving Camp Mabry in Austin and Ft. Bliss in El Paso; one in Newport, Rhode Island, near Naval War College; and another in Bedford, Mass., a few miles from Joint Base Hanscom.
The stores -- now at 37 -- are part of a broader initiative by Starbucks to provide thousands of jobs to veterans and military spouses, while also serving as communal hubs where current and former service members can connect, share stories and become part of a larger support network.

You don’t have to go to Starbucks even if they inundate your area...
Folgers Instant at home is better than Starbucks on Starbucks BEST day...
Expensive, but I’ll raise a cup of their AK 47 Espresso roast in salute. Delicious.
“FAR too late.”
It is never too late. The question is will it be enough.
Green Beans was a coffee store on various military bases.
Are we still supposed to go in Starbucks, and discuss race relations? I never understood how that works. Are you supposed to debate Ferguson and Baltimore riots, etc. with the person next to you in line, or engage the barista in debate??
Yeh now that Black Rifle is hot on their heels.
Remember the rallying call after 9/11? "Never forget!"
Next thing we knew, America was being flooded with raghead savages, and nobody says a word.
Heck, we're likely going to be at war with China someday, yet for a $1 savings on a pair of flip flops, we gladly buy their junk.

I remember when everybody assumed we would fight the USSR someday.
RIP Ronald Reagan. Who could calculate the lives you saved?
BUMP!
Great catch!
OMG. They woke up and smelled their own coffee. Unfortunately, the cup was full of piss and vinegar.
I was at the USO Lounge at Dallas or Houston, they were across from Starbucks. While speaking to the USO rep. I was told that Starbucks donates coffee to them to serve the GIs. The coffee was Starbucks. Did it taste anything like the orderly room GI coffee? NO! I spent the last 20 years trying to find anything that tasted like it. I still haven’t found it. Maybe I should try making Folgers in one of my socks? The two things I miss the most is my 6 cups of GI coffee in the a.m. and SOS that tastes like it should.
Starbucks’ proud announcement that they would hire 10,000 refugees (instead of veterans) must have hurt their bottom line.
I refuse to drink coffee that is served in paper cups, no matter how fancy the coffee is.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I agree with you on drinking from paper cups but they probably are more sanitary.
Will the military family be required to have facial piercings and facial tattoos, like typical baristas?
*rme* They might have to where you live, but not at Fort Campbell.
I’ve tasted Starbucks coffee when I worked in the early 90s at the Music City Sheraton Hotel and the brand introduced. It was quite strong and you couldn’t drink more than a cup. Later after it became popular I never bought one. They have Starbucks at the Commissary at Fort Campbell, plus there is a Starbucks store on post also.
Let’s see: 21,366 Starbucks around the world. 7880 company owned Starbucks in the USA. 37 US military friendly Starbucks.
Seems like Starbucks is using veterans to soften the backlash against their stupid ‘hire refugees’ policy.
Makes me mad!
There might be refugees where you are (Austin), but there are none here in Clarksville TN, and there won’t be any either in the near future
