Perhaps conservatives did not support rulings that seemed to favor criminals but the fundamental right to cross-examine witnesses is as explicit as any rights in the Constitution.

Justice Scalia is a national treasure. I was lucky enough to get a chance to listen to him speak at a small gathering while I was in a school and he was amazing to listen to.
