When Chivington raided the village at SAND CREEK he believed he was attacking “RED REBELS” and even captured two Confederate agents in the Cheyenne camp.

Will Chivington and “The Massacre at Sand Creek” now be “reconstructed” as a heroic battle against Confederate Indians and slavery?
Just for the record, as late as 1885 the US Cavalry were still freeing slaves, mostly other tribesmen, whites and Mexican slaves, from the Indians.
