There are probably more votes in the area where the streets were repaved!

We live north of there in Fl and the taxs seem about the same. Properties in FL are assessed at last sales price plus a small annual “inflation” increase. Tax rates unfortunately are not controlled by constitution in Fl for homeowners as in some other states. All in all with no income tax it works well. I am sure though some will try to overturn this someday.

The save our homes of 1993 caps the increase on a homestead at 3%. Florida has no state income tax and never will. If a politician even suggested it would be suicide. Would you vote yourself another tax?
