Why would anyone care if the Presidents daughter is interested enough in politicas to be an adivsor? And as far as the cost goes anyone worried about cost get a lawyer and start suing the previous administration where the real abuses in illegal costs exist, not this one.

Breaking stuff on French elections<

A shock leaked poll obtained by Belgian newspaper La Libre shows Marine Le Pen leading the French Presidential race on 26%, with conservative Francois Fillon in second place on 22%.

If that result played out today it would mean that establishment favourite Emmanuel Macron would be knocked out and that Le Pen would take on Fillon one-on-one.

That would be highly significant as Le Pen has polled best against Fillon, as high as 47%.

This poll leaked on the even of the first round of the French election is said to have come from one of the Presidential campaigns. Is it right? We don’t have long to wait now!

I have been following the French election closely for the last few months. I am fairly confident that Le Pen will get to the second round. Therein lies the problem. In a two person race it will be difficult to get a majority because all the other parties across the political spectrum will gang up on her and support the other candidate. If Fillon gets to be the other candidate, it will increase her chances.

Re Ivanka: She is an accomplished businesswoman with an impressive resume. I recognize she is more liberal than her father, but ultimately, he calls the shots.

Despite Trump's many accomplishments so far that support our conservative world view, I am under no illusions that he is a pragmatist who will do some things we don't like or agree with. I am OK with that. Trump is the only one who could have beat Hillary. He is far better than the alternative and hope he can get another 4 years to reverse the leftist trends in this country.

Some doctrinaire conservatives believe that Trump must go along with their agenda without exception. Some believe that he presents a serious danger to conservatism by redefining what it means. The NR dedicated an entire edition during the primaries condemning Trump and advocating his rejection as the nominee. Now they want Trump to adhere to the conservative line. This is being reflected in Congress with the Freedom Caucus trying to leverage its votes to stop legislation that it deems violates conservative principles. The willingness to compromise in order to reach some sort of consensus is found wanting. The so-called moderates are no better. As result, the GOP is missing a golden opportunity to get its agenda implemented.
