It is my theory that these drugs destroy the mind’s problem solving and decision making functions. With that ability gone, they cannot chose to do the right thing that will protect them from further damage. This inability also does great damage to other since they cannot choose to do the right thing. It is very much the same effect as rabies to the mind of a dog.
Yes, which is why one of the ultimate sins and evils in society should even be trying or taking drugs for the first time. “Just say no” was the right message. I was a child in the ‘80s and it worked for me. I’ve never tried drugs or alcohol. This increasingly liberal, tolerant attitude towards marijuana, binge drinking and other drug use is setting us up for many more tragedies and burdens.
