Reports: Fox News Executives Fear ‘More to Come’

Executives at Fox News reportedly fear what is to come after it was announced on Wednesday that host Bill O'Reilly would not return to the network in the wake of sexual harassment allegations.

"There's more to come," a Fox News insider told Vanity Fair.

The comments appear to suggest there may be more women who have not yet come forward publicly with stories of harassment.

CNN “New Day” host Alisyn Camerota also said early Thursday that there is “more to come” at Fox News, where she worked for 16 years.

“I know a lot about the culture, and my friends there, there is a feeling that … there is actually more to come, that this isn’t the end.”

21st Century Fox announced Wednesday that O'Reilly would not be returning to the network "after a thorough and careful review of the allegations."

O'Reilly's show lost about 90 advertisers after The New York Times reported earlier this month that five women were paid $13 million to settle sexual harassment suits. A lawyer for O'Reilly said Monday the host bad been subject to a "smear campaign" by far-left groups.

In a statement Wednesday, O'Reilly called it "tremendously disheartening" to be parting ways with the network over "completely unfounded claims."

"But that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today," he said in the statement.

Vanity Fair reported the newsroom reactions to O'Reilly's departure were mixed.

Chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch sent an internal memo Wednesday emphasizing the company's commitment to "fostering a work environment built on the values of trust and respect."

What no one on our side seems to be saying is, “Why the hell did BOR engage in such stupid conduct, especially in this day and age?”

Ah, someone else who gets it.

My dear L, if the falafel case where he personally had to pay out big bucks and she had him on tape DID NOT STOP HIS HARRASSMENT, it actually points to a deep character flaw, doesn’t it? Somewhat of a serial predator.

At least two recorded him, and my judgment after listening to Wendy Walsh a lot (don’t like her but have listened enough) is that her story is very truthful (and she never came forward for money or anything else prior to recently).

It is foolish to think this was ONLY a hit job on conservatives (as if he ever was one). [I do know that libs in his position still harass, like Ellen apparently, etc]

Brit doesn’t seem like the type to have too many meaningless affairs. I liked his show on Fox, many thought him too dry or boring...

Sort of like David Letterman. Admitted multiple affairs with female staffers, many of them interns—the kind of stuff that gets you fired in many corporations. But when he got caught, the media treated him like a victim, since the boyfriend of his latest conquest tried to blackmail him.

But Letterman was never sued. As a powerful figure in the entertainment industry, they knew he could help their careers immensely, so they went along with his desires. And he was never sanctioned by CBS.

There is always a double standard for liberals. O’Reilly can be a pig, but he’s an amateur compared to ol’ Dave.

This is true. Lib hosts can be scummier and nothing happens.

However, it doesn’t mean hosts more to the right should be scum. All of them, out. Let better people have your jobs.

Just read that Verizon is losing FIOS cable subscribers big league, to the cable cutting phenom.

My area of SoCal just witnessed Verizon sell to Frontier.

Did Verizon get out of this big market, because it is shrinking?

Anyway my point is this: It must be a lot less costly to broadcast over streaming channels, than cable TV.

I am NOT going to spend over $100 monthly for Fox and a couple of sporting events.

Beck and Levin have streaming channels.

“Rupert, 86, is said to be watching this in some disbelief, but with some pride, too. He has long believed that what many others see as his son’s arrogance and superciliousness is actually brilliance. And while Rupert may disagree with much of James’ instincts and actions — quite proved inadequate in the London phone-hacking scandal for which James received much of the blame — he yet seems pleased that he would be up to taking them.

James’ dream, wherein he hopes to match his father’s accomplishments, and which he has been spinning for all who might listen for many years now, is of combining Sky News and Fox News with the vast Murdoch reach and producing some ultimate global news brand. Where Fox News is parochial and America First, the new global brand is worldly and unlimited. It will give his family’s company, once the pirate company, new meaning and new stature — a force for stability instead of upheaval. Murdoch media, in an age of populist disruption, will stand for the established world order”.

It is bigger than BO of whom i was not a big fan. This is dismantling via economic boycott of conservatives being able to communicate ideas. Remember there does not need to be any real bimbos with real proof. just accusations. the left sends out their social media propaganda and poof. no more advertising. It will become a different model for conservative radio/tv etc. I will also get a list of the 90 advertisers and omit them from anything i buy. i works both ways. we should begin to boycott and do it loudly to any of these advertisers.

I have DirecTV but not the 347 channel. Must not be in the middle level package.

Thank you!! I had no idea DirecTV was carrying OAN now. I had been calling DTV every week or a long time bugging them to do that and then gave up. I saw your post, checked it out, and there it is!!

All they have to do now is bribe some young female to make the claim. No proof necessary. The accusation is all that’s needed.....................

Something involving "hot chocolate" and roaring like a boar. Totally fabricated linguistic kill shots.

Glenn Beck doesn’t need to be bailed out, and I don’t think he wants to sell his network

Oh...I guess he somehow managed to pay off his massive debt, of just a few years ago.

With his lurch to the left and NeverTrumper fits this past year, makes us wonder if he’s been bankrolled by the likes of $oros or other deep pockets on the left.

What lurch to the left? There is none. He’s standing where he always has, on the principles of the Constitution.

His business seems to be doing fine. He doesn’t need to be bailed out. I know you want him to fail, but he’s not failing. Businesses often run up debt when they’re expanding, or for new facilities.

You do realize that he’s been just about the strongest voice on exposing the likes of Soros, whom he despises — calls him “Spooky Dude.”

Hume is already out - he lost his spot to Bret (Bear) and now just does guest apparences - which are easy to end.

Spectrum, aka Charter, does not provide that network in Wisconsin either.

Liberals smell blood in the water. Soon Sean Hannity will have his own panel of women accusers, weeping and crying about how he once made a derogatory comment about their shoes not matching their dress or some such nonsense.

Funding for ultra and normal lefty causes is provided for you by the Pew Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the Sierra Club, the Audubon Society, the Nature Conservancy, American Rivers and, many other ‘foundations’ and very wealthy individuals (most the beneficiaries of extremely large trust funds). Soros is just one. Go to the About pages, look for funding and donor information. It’s not rocket science.

“USA Today” is far left.
