Reports: Fox News Executives Fear ‘More to Come’

Executives at Fox News reportedly fear what is to come after it was announced on Wednesday that host Bill O'Reilly would not return to the network in the wake of sexual harassment allegations.

"There's more to come," a Fox News insider told Vanity Fair.

The comments appear to suggest there may be more women who have not yet come forward publicly with stories of harassment.

CNN “New Day” host Alisyn Camerota also said early Thursday that there is “more to come” at Fox News, where she worked for 16 years.

“I know a lot about the culture, and my friends there, there is a feeling that … there is actually more to come, that this isn’t the end.”

21st Century Fox announced Wednesday that O'Reilly would not be returning to the network "after a thorough and careful review of the allegations."

O'Reilly's show lost about 90 advertisers after The New York Times reported earlier this month that five women were paid $13 million to settle sexual harassment suits. A lawyer for O'Reilly said Monday the host bad been subject to a "smear campaign" by far-left groups.

In a statement Wednesday, O'Reilly called it "tremendously disheartening" to be parting ways with the network over "completely unfounded claims."

"But that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today," he said in the statement.

Vanity Fair reported the newsroom reactions to O'Reilly's departure were mixed.

Chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch sent an internal memo Wednesday emphasizing the company's commitment to "fostering a work environment built on the values of trust and respect."

Too bad Bill couldn’t “do a little side-step”.

Just remember, it has been said that Media Matters is behind this........they and their sort will not stop. They (the left) are a group who runs with...”It is not whether the allegations are true or not but the seriousness of the allegations, even when proven false”!

I’ll watch Fox News (if still non-kool-aide promoting) no matter who’s the honcho.

Hannity will fight like the third Chimpanzee on the boarding ramp to Noah’s Ark, just like Trump.

Forget Shep and Fox. I switched to OANN and never looked back.

Don’t know. That all depends on the terms of their separation from News Corp. There may be a non-compete clause, and they might have to wait a few years to start their own TV venture.

Me-Again was in on the whole thing for 10 years! (allegedly) Ask the makeup ladies in the New York Magazine article that had to re-do her war paint everyday after the 'pre production' meetings!

She's given more Lewinskys than Monica..she just gt mad at the end and threatened to sue when she didn't get the money she wanted from Fox (supposedly)

...just wait, some woman will come forward and say that Sean Hannity touched her boob you know its coming

LET THEM TRY with Hannity. He will come after them but tough.

Difference is, BOR was guilty.

I think the key news here is there were settlements that BOR personally paid, not FOX. The point is where FOX paid for Ailes imbroglios he accepted the company to litigate and they signed the check (hence the SEC disclosures)and the representation is by the company, not Ailes. So, when BOR through an attorney did his own settlements, he has a non disclosure part of the settlement and Fox does not have access to the info.

IMO, the recent allegations or the ones to come are not subject to non disclosure if they are outside BOR’s settlements. That is how the info may get out. Regardless, if none of the heretofore unknown harassment charges are not within the scope of employer/employee relationships, FOX, for firing BOR (well call it a buyout) will be on the hook for much money when and if BOR sues them for breach of contract, public humiliation, and slander.

This is going to play out over many years.

Poor Shep at that time, singing show tunes alone in a gay bar.

Looks like I would have to change from Cox Cable to ATT U-Verse to get OANN. Avery possible option.

If there was not ‘proof,’ O’Reilly would still be working at Fox News.

Fox would not have fired him and paid him out if there were only allegations.

Someone here has a smart brain!

Seriously, people. Do we “need” to cling to a boorish, horrible, arrogant beast just because he has some patriotism and conservatism? He doesn’t have ANY morals. Being a good person is more important than your political bent.

Funny, the same organizations and people crowing over Bill O’Reilly had nothing to say about Clinton or any of the Kennedy boys.

All they have to do now is bribe some young female to make the claim.
No proof necessary. The accusation is all that’s needed...............

It's in the Libtard Handbook:

“The seriousness of the charge mandates that we investigate this.
Even though there is no evidence, the seriousness of the charge is what matters.”

-- Tom Foley (1929-2013) former Democrat Speaker Of The House

Shep had to get a vacation house in Mississippi so the gay stuff wouldn’t get out of control in the big city! :)
