The article says this is a threat to anyone in the media who defends Trump. O’Reilly was a longtime personal friend of Trump...and Trump defended him as much as he defended Trump. If you were targeting Trump, O’Reilly is just a hair trigger away from him on the totem pole. And this is a line in the sand...make yourself a Trump ally, and we will take you out whenever the opportunity arises.
In addition, the success of this campaign will have liberal billionaire donors flooding money to the people who pulled it off. They might redirect some of those funds away from individual special elections to these liberal pressure groups, giving them more ammo to wage war against Trump and his other allies.
