Other countries are banning the teaching of transgenderism. BTW, now that I think about it, words have gender, people have sex. So it should really be ‘transsexism.’

Insisting that gender is not biologically based feeds right into the insanity of allowing men to have access to women's restrooms and locker rooms just because they decide to call themselves women.
In languages that use gender as a grammatical construct, the origin of that usage is, in fact, based on perceptions of reality by the people who were inventing language. They grouped objects into classes, and one of the classes that many of them used was gender--they literally perceived objects as having feminine or masculine qualities, which they then incorporated into their language.
