Big mistake. No matter how you feel about O'Reilly, this means that the NYT and CNN have succeeded in getting rid of their biggest competition on Fox. They must be celebrating tonight. Fox has lost our house. Will still watch Fox Business occasionally, but can't bear the thought of watching The Five during the evening, or Tucker in Bill's slot -- neither can hold a candle to O'Reilly. Didn't always agree with Bill, but his show was excellent. Fox has nowhere to go but down from here. The NYT ran a huge, negative story about Bill every day for a couple of weeks. They won.

Sorry but you are wrong. O’Reilly got himself sacked. The NY Times was not doing anything wrong by pointing out that the has a serious record of behavioral issues towards women. And frankly I’m getting a bit tired of people on FR, who should know better, assuming he was the victim of some kind of hit when it’s fairly obvious and has been known for years that Bill is a cad.
We need to stop defending people like this just because they say stuff we like on TV or because it is an opposition newspaper that is the first to step up and actually print the unpleasant truth about the man.

I agree. CNN has been full of glee. It's to get rid of those not just on the right but also centrists such as BOR. When Letterman was caught for worse behavior, there were no widespread calls for his removal. And then there is Bill Clinton.
I'm wondering if Hannity will be next, perhaps be charged of being too conservative or not inclusive or upsetting snowflakes. We saw what happened to Judge Napolitano.

Agree with every word you said about O’Reilly. Didn’t always agree with him but he was great at what he did. He made the network. Tucker Carlson is a joke, probably the worst host on Fox. It’s up to Lou Dobbs now. To hell with Fox News. They should merge with CNN.

Yup, they won. I wonder whatever happened to that liberal refrain, “It's only sex!”?

Agreed. He put out an excellent show each night, and provided spot-on analysis most of the time.
