The most competitive special Congressional election yet has arrived, and we will be providing returns live tonight right here. In addition to our district-wide totals, we will be analyzing county and precinct level returns. For the Democrats, the hope is that Jon Ossoff can pull out an outright win tonight- if he gets over 50% of the vote in this crowded field, hes in as the districts new Representative in Congress. If he falls short, then he will face off against one of four likely Republican opponents in a runoff on June 20th: Karen Handel, Bob Gray, Judson Hill, or Dan Moody. Polls close at 7pm and we anticipate at least early vote tallies to begin rolling in shortly thereafter. Refresh this page for the latest results tonight out of Georgia.
The MSM is probably playing games to keep interest going. They did that in the Presidential race delaying the calling of various states like PA and WI to keep the suspense going to maintain viewership.
It looks like Ossoff shot his wad. The MSM will tout it as a great victory. The runoff in June is no lead pipe cinch for the Reps, but the next time Ossoff will become the target of Handel, not her fellow Reps. A lot more operations research on pajama boy will disclose plenty of dirt.
What has happened to this district? Have a bunch of northeastern liberals suddenly moved there? I cannot believe so many people in Georgia 6 would vote for a radical leftist Pajama Boy like this... :(
considering the big media and money push, and the numerous R’s in the field tonight, it’s not all that great. They lose, period. That’s all that matters.
“Uncomfortably close,” “Moral victory,” all is language that has absolutely no meaning.
“Do, or do not. There is no try.” (Yoda)
Fulton's slow count is adding to the fake drama on CNN. In reality, we've known tonight's #GA06 outcome for about an hour...oh well.
You don’t have to be local to understand the concept of a majority.
My theory is that Hilary is waiting for a dem victory somewhere, anywhere, so she can finally come out before a group of supporters on election night. If she stays sober.
Total # of votes in the 2016 election 310,000 votes with Price (R) getting 191K and the Rat challenger getting 119K. We are looking at about half of that in this election so based on %s, more republicans stayed home than democrats.
Yoda, nice
I heard that gerrymandering has changed the district in favor of democrats. Don’t know if that’s true.
Cobb is done. Ossoff at 50.3% with 55k in Fulton County left. Our guess he gets 45%; needs 49.
Seems small, but very hard.
Holy crap. WHY??
Too many Republicans running, open primary, and the Democrats poured over $8 Million into a local Congressional race.
I blame the republicans for not thinking things out more, also Trump should have chosen people not in the house or senate for jobs.
Wow. I hope not.
It’s Atlanta, in other words Democrat

Off year election plus extreme interest/funding on the Rat side looking at this election as a repudiation of Trump and aided by their sycophants in the media.
Or Chicago, which perfected the "River Ward Strategy": Chop the city into a gazillion tiny precincts, so that the outnumbered Reps can't send election judges to all the precincts. Then, after the polls close, and the "correct number needed" is determined, start voting all the no-shows (Rationale for troubled consciences: after all they're Chicagoans and we know they would want to vote Democrat, if only they could have made it on time!). Who's checking? ...nobody except the city employees who got the day off with full pay to be election judges and who owe their high-paying soft jobs to their (Democratic) Alderman.
I definitely agree with the first part of your statement. Actually... I also agree with the rest of it as well. Good point about Trump pulling from the House and Senate.
The number of Republicans running for this seat is totally ridiculous. Extremely risky.
Are you kidding? The republican Congress has done less than nothing. Why should republicans bother to vote for these people? And they are going on recess while criticizing Trump? They better wise up or they will lose Congress.
