Georgia 6th Congressional District (GA06) Special Election- Primary
Decision Desk HQ ^ | April 18, 2017

Posted on 04/18/2017 3:08:04 PM PDT by SMGFan

The most competitive special Congressional election yet has arrived, and we will be providing returns live tonight right here. In addition to our district-wide totals, we will be analyzing county and precinct level returns. For the Democrats, the hope is that Jon Ossoff can pull out an outright win tonight- if he gets over 50% of the vote in this crowded field, he’s in as the district’s new Representative in Congress. If he falls short, then he will face off against one of four likely Republican opponents in a runoff on June 20th: Karen Handel, Bob Gray, Judson Hill, or Dan Moody. Polls close at 7pm and we anticipate at least early vote tallies to begin rolling in shortly thereafter. Refresh this page for the latest results tonight out of Georgia.

Afraid so, what a shame she’s the most notable anti-Trump candidate.

Yes, it is weird.

Spain, literally immediately south of England (the prime meridian cross east of Madrid!) is in the same time zone as France.
And Poland.
And Serbia.

Sherman, on the other hand, broke all of the clocks southeast of Atlanta, and they’re still in the Antebellum Time Zone.

how is 45% to 48% “above expectations” when the msm and dems were saying this O guy was gonna win?

It’s been sitting at 53% reporting for a while now.. shades of election night in November when the media stopped reporting?

Jake Stull‏ @PolitcalGuru 2m2 minutes ago More Replying to @DanRiehl After all this hype, and $8M spent...he's going to struggle to even get the 46.8% Hillary got in the district. LOL!

I did not find that the Drudge headlines were in accord with the actual news stories posted there.

He’s tallying around 5 points above the most recent poll.

Would feel a whole lot better if more of Cobb county were still out.

The expectations game: the average of the pre-election polls was maybe 43 or 44 percent for Osoff. At this point, all that really matters is Mr. 50 percent. One vote more and it’s a complete victory for the forces of evil.

Loren Collins, who got almost 0.1% of the votes in 2008, was from the 4th District.

I didn't realize that he was also running against Hillary and Trump in the last election. http://www.voteloren.com/

Trump will broker a deal to open a new Coke plant or move some furniture operation back from Mehico a week before the election, with a rally in North Burbs. Generic Pub:60 Rat: 40

Pro-Democratic Party mainstream media are all about the moral "victories," like in Kansas. They haven't had any real ones in which to sink their teeth.

At this point, Republicans will gain Senate seats in 2018 (the Senate map is great for them) and the media will say that the gains "weren't up to expectations, what a disappointment!"

Fulton is going to decide this.

Cobb 96%
DeKalb 100%
Fulton 16%

For the hissy fits the dems and the left and the media have been having since Trump was voted President... if this too young and too handy lying dem happens to win that seat, I would think it only proper to not seat him... he does not live in the district.. and doesn’t matter who else has... it’s pay back time ... for ONCE, can the repubs just fight for our President!! For ONCE can they show some willingness to hand the progressives the same thing they are doing to Trump and to his voters!

But doesn’t part of Georgia refuse to go along with Daylight Savings Time? Until we spring forward, aren’t they still an hour behind?

No, sorry, the entire state of GA is in the Eastern Time Zone and all of the state observes DST. Here's a description of the boundary between the Eastern and Central time zone:
