Never ask where the fighters are....ask where the tankers are!? If Tinker AFB has any KC135s/KC10s, you know that we aren't moving 1000 fighters. Also, look at the munition ships in Diego Garcia....if those move, then you know they are filling the bunkers at Osan, Anderson AFB, etc.
When I was with the Seabees in 1973 finishing up Diego Garcia at the time we were told it was a communication station. And that was true. But I knew there were much bigger plans. I believe THE communications base is now on an island off Australia.
And Air Force personnel volunteer to be stationed at Diego Garcia. It’s a tropical Paradise. Not when I was there!
Andersen and Osan do not rely on the ready ships docked at Diego Garcia.
They have their own dedicated supply chain.
I’m wondering how many supply ships have left the Ports of Tacoma and Long Beach.
And how many transports have departed from McChord and Travis on 3 day trips.
