Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly on Friday predicted North Korea is more likely to unleash a large-scale cyberattack against the U.S. than take military action.
Kelly, speaking with NBC "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd, said a physical attack from the North Korean military is unlikely despite the country's warning earlier this week of a "big event" this weekend.
"A kinetic threat against the United States right now I don't think is likely, but certainly a cyber threat," Kelly told Todd in a preview clip. "So we would raise various threat levels in the event that something happened and we felt as though that there was a possible threat. You always want to caution on the side of come down on the side of caution."
Pentagon officials have mobilized resources to hit back at the dictatorship in the case of a military attack, though they have not disclosed how the U.S. would respond to a cyber attack.
The U.S. said this week that it is well-prepared to respond with military action to any hostile behavior or serious threat from North Korea, including launching missiles at the nation's nuclear test site, U.S. intelligence officials said according to a report Thursday evening.
The full interview with Kelly will air on Sunday morning.
Ha! I’m not worried.
Hey Kim, you little sawed off runt. I’m going to tell everyone just what you are and there’s no way you can cut
WE have the technology to cut their electricity and make them go dark at night.
Suspect that Trump has convinced Kim’s inner circle that the North Korean targets including them are well defined and will be completely destroyed within minutes when shooting commences. He is giving them some time to take out Kim themselves to save their own skins and privileges as they “reform” North Korea. Doubt Kim will live to see May.
The world will never miss him.
They have, you are right. Still, there was a story that NK hackers have probably stolen a lot of $$ from banks, this was this past week.

That is some image though.

To me, this seems NK is already standing down some; but I’m not knowledgeable in this area.
I seem to remember the US shutting down the NK Internet. A quick google search later, it was over the movie The Interview.

Never trust a military officer who uses the term “ kinetic”
At the very least, it makes no sense for fat boy to attack anyone when a significant part of his military is parading past his reviewing stand.
I don't know about the world not missing him.
The jokes ... and the comedy that is Kim.
And that hair cut. Yeah, the world might miss him -- for awhile.
