“Neocon has always been a dog whistle for “Jew”.

Of course that’s not at all true, it had nothing to do with being Jewish. But then I guess it is de rigueur around here to dismiss Michael Harrington who coined the term and Irving Kristol who helped popularize it.

Neocons were Cold War Democrats fed up with the weak America crowd who had seized control of the Democrat party beginning with the McGovern and culminating with Carter. Prominent neocons included Jeane Kirkpatrick, William Bennett, Michael Novack, and many others who would be surprised to learn that they were Jewish.

You are trying too hard to miss the point.
Neocon is generally used to refer to foreign policy. It’s what we used to call “the Hawks”. People who use the word Neocon are usually libertarians who oppose most military actions. If you give them a forum, they will usually blame “Israel First” people as if Israel has anything to do with our foreign policy.
The reason they tend to be Truthers is that 9/11 was a justifiable reason for military action. The only way you could oppose it is IF 9/11 wasn’t a terrorist act.
