$800 and a night at the Marriott on top of the ticket you already hold is not sufficient compensation?

Jeese you could be back in the saddle in 8 hours.

Unless I was rushing to see someone who is dying I can not see how this is an insufficient offer.

his choice his life. not united’s call.

you don’t get “a night” btw. you get “a voucher” which is usually insufficient for a close to airport hotel. no voucher for transportation and meals.

the next flight was 24 hours. in the real world time is critical when traveling. deadlines matter.
