Nah, there is still a DMZ.
The NORKs will need reducation in the ways of Capitalism. Reeducate, build factories, build infrastructure and then open the DMZ. That will be more orderly than what happened in Germany.
Could take 10 or 20 years.

Great to see China taking the lead here. The meeting with President Trump seems to have been productive...

Give the northern half to China. Southern half can reunify with the south. Seoul needs some buffer space and all that artillery cleared.

China invades NK and annexes the territory. What would the US and SK do? Stock up on Kimchi.

Send them flowers and a box of chocolate. Then I would invest in railway stock in Korea.

Some way will need to be devised whereby the virtual slaves comprising NK society can earn enough to be able to AFFORD the occasional hamburger or slice of pizza. Acquiring even a second hand automobile would seem to be a faint glimmer far off in the distance.

And they probably even believe in climate change too. Lol. Gonna be a long road back to educating and not subjugating.

Applaud.
S.K. cannot afford to bring N.K. out of abject poverty and U.S. libs would demand that we do it.

I like your observation. It really didn’t take much. Trump just refused to back down. Very unlike Clinton/Obama. Draw a Red Line in the sand. Win a prize.

” ... Koreans are a very proud and nationalistic people and they will pursue reunification as a matter of pride.”
Yes; I’ve know more than a dozen South Koreans over the years, and every one of them has said that reunification, on their terms, is the ultimate goal and will eventually happen. However, I agree with posters who say that it would take at least a generation for the South to “digest” the North, given the economic and political situation in the North.

Why would we want to defend NK?
To: VietVet876
I want them to expose the murder of the DNC IT guy, Seth Rich.
Could they do that please.

Excellent chocolate cake !
It hit me on way home from town. Russia, China and U.S. are all dealing with populations of extreme Muslin radicals. Russia and China within their natural borders
