GOP SURVIVES FIRST TEST
Kansas state Treasurer Ron Estes held off a stronger-than-expected challenge from Democratic civil rights attorney James Thompson Tuesday night as the GOP won the first special congressional election since President Trump’s inauguration. Estes won 53 percent of the vote to take the seat vacated by CIA Director Mike Pompeo.

He won by a margin of 7% in a district that the closest recent election was 22% and the usual margin is in the 30s. The election was a warning to Republicans, not a signal for smug complacency.
I see the anti-Ivanka group is coming on this thread announcing that it was a very close win and that the GOP should be worried, lol. Every glass is half-empty to these bozos.
I assume they didn’t see the Maria Bartiromo interview in which Mr. Trump said he wouldn’t be going any further into Syria.
How any votes were cast in this election versus the one in November?

But but but... the Republicans are in trouble in a red district... and and... Trump... and the people are rejecting the right... and... darn... reality struck again, didn’t it? Fantasies are a lot easier to believe before actual ballots are counted.
I think it was about half the votes cast in November.
I hear that Jill Stein is out collecting money for a recount.
Every one of these elections are going to be couched as being a scary bellwether election for a Democrat takeover...

Exactly! Rush was discussing this very thing yesterday! This has to be devastating to the Dems, as it has completely destroyed the narrative they were hoping to flood the News with today!
Expect more of the same in 2018, as the Democrats try to pull their con again.
They will lose some Senate seats and we will lose some House seats.
As usual, they got fooled by the Democrat early voting.
The Left is more energized for these elections, that won’t be the case in 2018.
Great we won this extremely strong republican district but people are losing faith in the base and not showing up, by these numbers if you take an honest look and see the movement.
