ARE FREEPERS ALL GETTING DENSE LATELY???
THEY NEEDED PILOTS ELSEWHERE - IT WAS EITHER LET THIS GUY WAIT, OR MAKE HUNDREDS OR THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE DELAY AS IT CASCADES OUTWARD BECAUSE THEY DON’T HAVE A PILOT
WEATHER PATTERNS FORCE THEM TO CHANGE PLANS AND NOT HAVE PILOTS OR PLANES WHERE THEY ARE NEEDED SO THEY HAVE TO MOVE THEM
THEY DID NOT DO THIS JUST BECAUSE THEY FELT LIKE IT
THIS IS ENTIRELY THE IDIOT PASSENGERS FAULT
AND I AM NOT SCREAMING MY KEYBOARD IS STUCK

Your caps lock is stuck.
It's on the left side of your keyboard, click it again to turn it off.

This is the first I’ve heard of this explanation. Maybe offering more money for volunteers would have worked out better for them. Everyone has a price.

What about offering more than $800 to entice someone to get off the flight? I've read they can go as high as 1250 (and keep in mind, this is airline bucks, not real money). What about renting a car to send the airline employees from Chicago to St. Louis? What about flying them on another airline. I'll bet United has a private jet at the airport there, what about flying their 4 employees on that?
If the rejoinder would be that all of that is much more expensive, well I would agree it is much more expensive. And how expensive is it to drag a 69 year old man off the flight and it goes viral on the internet? I'll bet a lot more expensive than renting a lear jet to fly those 4 employees to St. Louis.
