Not our problem. Not our business.

Do these morons drum beating for "regime change" have the ability to learn from recent history? Libya, Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan. What betting person would expect that "regime change" in Syria would bring about something positive? The only likely change is that someone more rabid and unhinged will take power. Take it to the bank.

I agree with you. Assad is a known entity. With him gone, the new boss would be same as the old boss or worse.

Way back when I worked at USIU during grad school, there were a number of students from the ME whose parents had plenty of petrodollars. They had sent their kids to school in London, so they absorbed western culture.

That’s the kind of guy you want running the place. IMO, ousting dictators is a job for the CIA. They can go in and take him out and replace him with a western friendly benevolent dictator. The idea of democracy in the ME is madness.

All of that said, it’s still not our circus and not our monkeys.
