Usually State meetings produce some pre-agreed-to public relations ‘big deal’. Not sure what to make of the deficiency, but I’m sure it’s significant.
In a possible harbinger of the kind of punishments Washington could inflict, a leading Chinese telecoms company, ZTE, was fined nearly $900 million in March for shipping sensitive U.S.-made technology to Iran in violation of U.S. sanctions.
I wonder how much of that was built into the price...
in the end Iran ended up with the sensitive technology.

What an idiotic idea, this meeting was not “billed” as a “showdown”.
They weren’t hoping far a Hitler vs Chamberlain hysterical show from Trump. With screaming like a deranged man i.e. like Hitler.

Giddy from winning. Don’t know what the FR nay sayers expected, but Hillery could be president for God’s sake. Everyhing that hasn’t gone our way yet is not done. Somebody (cannot remember who) wrote a few days before the meeting that it was significant that the underlings had NOT been instructed to hammer out some agreement for them to sign. It indicated that this was to be a serious working meeting rather than a diplomatic photo op.

So, this brash fellow we elected seems to know more about subtlety and saving face for one’s opponents than the pseudo elite. There are few skills more worthy than protecting one’s opponent. Well done, President Trump.
