You’ve obviously got some sort of romantic, 19th century ideas about how the world works. I don’t disagree with your sentiment, but America can’t simply bar the door and snap off the porch light.

Those days were gone before your granddad’s time, my friend.

Can you kindly enlighten us as to why a sovereign nation cannot make things “work this way”?

Only backed with loads of evidence you don’t want to acknowledge.

I suspect “neocon” is any Republican considered a warmonger, like John McCain.

Well, if "Neo" means new, and "con" stands for conservative, then McCain can be neither. He's as old as dust, and he is anything but a conservative.

My experience tracks yours almost identically. The term ‘paleocon’ even makes more sense.

Personally do not like Kushner being in these meetings. He has, as far as I can tell, too much liberal thinking, too many family connections with dishonesty and is there for the wrong reasons.

I prefer Bannon and HIS intuition.

“What makes me feel better about Trump ordering this attack is that all the Free Republic pu&&ies are letting everyone know who they are.”
Bombing in people in Syria makes you a tough guy I guess

He lost me with the constant never Trumping of last year and he hasn’t quite won me back yet, but this is good.

And with that logic I cannot argue with and respect your decision.

As we have heard throughout the day, some of Trump’s supporters have criticized the president for the strike, which they believe violates his campaign promises.....

.....well why weren’t they belly aching before this strike...he’s been on the ground and dropping payloads all along?..not to mention in Yemen etc. Sheesh!

Now Savage is almost unlistenable on this. He says the Jews got to Trump because qui bono? The Israelis.

I have no problem with Kushner being there, nor Ivanka for that matter ....two pairs of eyes and ears besides Trumps is a good thing in the political corrupt climate he works....but am still not sure why Ivanka sits in on these meetings since she has no position there.

Well Jane...that’s history and everythings changed now.....also there will always be chemical weapons hiding hither thither and yon.. especially in the ME.

Frankly it no longer really matters what Obama did or not now.....Trumps on a role and doing all the right things I believe....that said I’m sure I wont like everything he does....but I do believe he’ll do what’s possible and give it is best shot for America’s interest.... their will be trade offs though.....sometimes you have to accept that for the greater good because Trumps looking at 8 yrs. and the bigger picture.....

Here is a caveat for you. If Obama was still POTUS and
he did not respond to the chemical attack then Pelosi,
Schumer, and Hillary would think that was a great idea too.

Bashir Assad is an eye doctor who gave up his practice in London when Father Dearest went to his 72 virgins.
