Russia isn’t going to do squat and Assad isn’t going to do squat if the attack(s) is limited going after the chemical attack perpetrators.

I suspect this is what President Trump is counting on. If Assad behaves himself he will be left alone. Meanwhile Trump sends a message to the world that he is not afraid to use force when he sees fit.
